Last August, the Center for Environmental Science Applications (CESA) relocated from Phoenix to Portland Oregon. This was less complicated than it sounds, as the Center is primarily me, with assorted collaborations and partners, most of which remain at Arizona State University. I took on the position of Vice President for Research and Strategic Partnerships at Portland State University (PSU), while still retaining an affiliation with ASU's School of Earth and Space Exploration. This move was in many ways an outgrowth of projects started under the auspices of CESA, especially those dealing with cities.
This is a brief tutorial for downloading the beta version of J-Earth, If you are trying to download the workshop version the instructions are the same, simply use the link in the previous post for your download.
If you are attending the CAP All Scientists Meeting (November 19th) and would like to participate in the hands-on tour of J-Earth please use this download link http://jmars.mars.asu.edu/static/caplter-nov2010.jnlp The user name will be filled in with CAPLTER_ASM and just use the password caplter. This version of J-Earth will have various data sets from Phoenix already loaded and ready to go.
